100gm of dye can dye 200gm of fiber (1/2 lb) in deep shades, 1Kg (2lbs) in medium shades and up to 2Kg (4lbs) in light shades. Blood Red is very concentrated and can dye about double this amount.

These Dye Kits are perfect for trying out our dyes. They work beautifully with natural fibers, particularly wool and silk.
Navy Blue and Forest Green include the dye plants indigo, cassia and tumeric, referred to as substantive dyes which means they will dye without the use of a mordant. Also, the method used to produce these dyes eliminates the need for the more involved indigo vat method of dyeing. These are direct dyes, very easy to use and very colorfast. However, they can be used with a mordant to obtain different colors and if combining with other colors that do require the mordant.
Unfortunately, they cannot be used on cellulose fibers such as cotton or hemp which do require the regular indigo vat method. The other dyes will color cellulose fibers but in much lighter shades.

COMING SOON. An Indigo dye kit for cellulose fibers like cotton and hemp. Also a new herbal mordant that will improve results with cellulose fibers.
